Nice to meet you at the Jazz Education Network conference!

Enter for a chance to win a private Brave Musician coaching session by Monica Shriver.

Being brave gets you on stage.
Being uniquely you makes you memorable.

What does it mean to be a Brave Musician?

Being a successful musician is about more than playing the right notes at the right time. You have to take risks, display confidence, and hone your unique voice. Whether your goals are to perform and make a living, to enjoy playing duets with another person or to play at that jam session you always go and watch, being brave is the most important first step to get you there.

Brave Musician is here to help you:

  • Face your fears and insecurities
  • Break patterns that hold you back
  • Build your confidence
  • Provide a community where you can share your story
and everything that goes along with it (successes, failures, struggles, etc)
  • Be Brave

Taught by Monica Shriver

I wasn’t born fearless. I struggled. I was scared. I doubted myself. When I decided to quit my teaching job to become a full time jazz musician, people thought I was crazy. Being brave was just the first step on the road to being the kind of musician I knew I could be.

Monica Shriver is an innovative educator who plays 14 instruments. She is a professional musician, band leader, sideman, promoter, gig creator, improvisor, clinician, teaching artist, presenter, composer, and a Brave Musician. Monica also loves playing with art and watching hockey. She performs and teaches music for a living. Yes, it’s awesome.
