In this episode, Monica and Marina sit down with vocalist Holly Pyle (House of Stairs) about her journey to making music full time and what it means to be a musician, including the “sneaky” learning process, the spectrum of creativity, accepting emotions like anxiety, curiosity, resistance, and sensitivity, different categories of pursuing music, and how music can be a lot like dating.

I had a certain image for what it meant to be a performer, that you have very particular personality traits, that you need to be extroverted, and outgoing and charismatic and you need to love sales and you need to love selling yourself and there are certain behaviors and I found most of them uncomfortable.
